John A. Bolduc has been a police officer for 24 years and was appointed Chief of Police for the Port St. Lucie Police Department on August 13, 2012. He oversees 285 sworn and non-sworn police personnel, 343 volunteers, and a $34 million dollar budget.
Chief Bolduc most previously served as Acting Chief, as well as commanded the department’s largest manpower bureau, Neighborhood Policing. Joining the agency in 1994, he served as a patrol sergeant, administrative sergeant, lieutenant, acting regional captain, and acting assistant chief. A graduate of the University of Florida, Chief Bolduc has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and is pursuing a Master's degree from Barry University. He is also a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, Session #218.
A life-long Floridian, Chief Bolduc formerly served as a Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer for seven years. He resides in Port St. Lucie with his wife and three children.
