General Information

Florida's Landlord/Tenant Law

Most renters are aware they have certain rights when they are involved in a dispute with their landlord, however they often don't know what those rights are. This brochure was developed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to answer many of the questions frequently asked about landlord/tenant relationships.

New Changes in Florida Driver Licenses

Beginning January 1, 2010, Florida will have new documentation requirements for residents renewing or obtaining a new driver license or identification card.   Now, those wishing to obtain a new license, legally change their name prior to their renewal date, or immediately replace a lost or stolen license or ID card will be required to visit a driver license office and show proof of: identification, Social Security number and residential address (two items).  Floridians are encouraged to visit www.GatherGoGet.com to find out how and when to gather documents, go to a driver license office and get a new card.  For office visits, you must bring original documents that prove your identity, social security number and residential address.
